Andrew's Baptism Day

Today was Andrew's Baptism Day. It was a wonderful occassion, and the spirit was definitley there. It was great to be reminded of the covenants we made with our Heavenly Father, and the blessing we have to be able to renew those covenants every single week! I am so happy for Andrew, he was so excited for this day to come. He is a special child of God, and it was awesome to be there for his big day. After the baptism, we had a brunch at Robby and Jennie's home. Here are some pictures from the morning.

Today we went to McDonald's for lunch and Porter had a ball playing in the play place. He also found my shake and decided it was now his. Yay for McDonald's on a cold winter day.

When I sweep the wood floors it is a race against time. I am a mad woman sweeping the house like it is a stinkin marathon... all the while keeping my pile with me. Why, you ask? I have a little boy who is running behind me trying to grab any food that is visible. I think my time has improved. Where you at, Porter Jay??

Uncle D and Aunt Jam's House

I stole this picture from my sis-in-law Jamie's blog. Last night we headed down to Jamie and Darron's house to watch movies, and Porter got to play with his cousins. Ash and Zach are incredibly sweet with Porter and he loves to play with them. It was absolutely adorable to see the three of them on the barstools having a snack. You could tell Porter was pretty excited about being up with the big kids. I just love my little niece and nephew and they are going to be such good siblings to their baby sister that will be here any day! I can't wait to meet her, I am sure she'll be just as sweet as the other two!

Okay I'm really sorry that I have been posting pictures like every other day. Just ignore my blog right now. First of all, I have the cutest kid ever and, second, I have a new camera that I am trying to figure out. Hence, lots of pictures! Since my photography class starts next week, and my child keeps getting cuter I just can't guarantee it's going to get any better. My apologies.

Dear Porter,

I love that you bring me books and want me to read them to you. I am amazed how you are learning so much these days. I can ask you to find the soccer ball, the bird, the baby, the shoes, the apple, the banana, etc. and you will find it in your books. Mommy and daddy spent 30 minutes of their date last night shopping for new books for you. Hope you like them as much as all the rest. I am sorry that I have to hide them from you sometimes, but we have to do a few other things during the day too - like eat and sleep and walk. But I do cherish our time reading books together. Winter Walks

I don't mean to be blog crazy, but I am these days. It was a "nice" day today and Porter always tries to make his way out the front door any time it opens. So we went on a little walk. I forgot how much Porter loves being outdoors. I am looking forward to Spring, especially our March trip to Phoenix when we can let him play outdoors again. For longer than 20 minutes at a time.

The Infamous Coupe II

Porter got a late Christmas present in the mail from Grandma & Grandpa Porter yesterday. This cute car that I had when I was a little girl. He can already climb in and out of it, which surprised me. He loves the horn. He was able to scoot around in it, although any time the car began to move his eyebrows would crease together and he would get a look of concern. Ha. I'm sure by this afternoon he'll be charging into my walls. Thanks Grandma (MOM) for the gift, it was fun to see a replica of a toy we had growing up. When Jared saw what had come in the mail yesterday he shook his head and said, "This kid is SOOO spoiled!" That's what grandparents do, right? Thanks again, we love ya!
