christmas fun, 2009

Christmas morning was fun, as expected. I think the older Porter gets the more fun it gets. He woke up to find that Santa had left a trail or bells from his bed downstairs to his gifts. It took a little convincing for him to follow the bells, he was just excited to jingle them. But once he came downstairs and saw the train table Santa had brought him he was even more excited. A big smile immediately spread across his little face. It took a little while for him to get the hang of opening presents. He would open one gift and then just want to play with it. So our Christmas morning, opening gifts lasted from 8am until 11am. We just let him do his thing. By then end he was on a roll. The rest of the day he would find random boxes and bring them to me and say, "Open present?" His favorite gifts were his train table and his shopping cart that came from Grandma and Grandpa Porter. He has been thoroughly entertained for the last two days playing with all his Christmas loot. Porter was really excited to give his daddy his gift. Tickets for all three of us to go to Hawaii. We leave in less than three weeks and will bask in the sun for two whole weeks. Pretty exciting! Jared got me a new ring that is more "child friendly". I wish I could have gotten a better picture it is so pretty. Most of the Robbins family are out of town for Christmas so we spent Christmas eve and Christmas with Darron and Jamie and their family... Jared's brother and his family. We are so thankful this Christmas season for family. I am so in love with my husband and my beautiful little boy, and feel so blessed to have another sweet little boy growing inside me. We have such wonderful parents and siblings, and just love our family! Life is good. Merry Christmas to all of you, I hope your holiday was just as wonderful!

Oh MAN! I've been behind on my blog following. Hawaii???!!! That's probably the best gift, ever. How on earth did you pull off a surprise that big?!

The ring is beautiful! I've always wanted a kid-friendly option. Maybe I'll direct Rob to your site for a little hint! :)
