Stumped.
I was given some birthday money (in January) and set it aside to buy a new church dress or skirt. Now it is April (almost May) and still nothing. If it is affordable, it isn't modest enough. If it is modest and affordable it doesn't fit right. And if it is cute and modest, it costs $80. I have literally gone into multiple stores and tried on every single dress and skirt and haven't liked any of them. I came across this the other day and thought it was super cute. The skirt is only $35 which is within my budget. Except, don't you think the shirt just makes the outfit? That is another $35, which moves this outfit from the affordable price range to the expensive range! Where do you buy church clothes? I am still wearing skirts I wore in high school ten plus years ago! Shh.

THIS OUTFIT IS PERFECT! I'd just splurge if I were you...it's totally worth it!
How on earth are YOU having problems finding skirts long enough?! Maybe I'm waaaaay out there, but aren't you 5'3 - 5'4? I'm pretty sure I'm taller than you - which means you should easily find the right length!
All of my church clothes come from DownEast.
Melissa- you're right on. I am 5'3 and you would think, wouldn't you? Downeast is one of those stores where I have literally tried every single item on, and I look TERRIBLE in everything. Love how it looks on the hanger, hate how it looks on me. My body was not built for the Downeast brand I guess?
I really wish I could remember the store name but I was having the same problem about a year/year and a half ago. I found this random store at University Mall that had a lot of modest length skirts that were around $40. I know that doesn't help a lot and going to the mall to look for a mysterious store with 2 little boys might be a little scary ;)
Have you tried that outfit on? Because if it looks that cute in the picture and cute on you I would just splurge. I am TOTALLY in your same boat with clothes, except for the fact that I went to the mall and tried on whatever looked cute on the hanger (not looking at the price tags), only to find out that MANY of the styles now make me look 4 months pregnant:( I guess I do not have a small enough waist for so many of the styles now. I wish I could love shopping, but I don't and have to wear awful clothes because of it! I want to walk in the store and walk out with a great find rather than spending hours trying on clothes that make me look awful.
I'm in St. George visiting my parents and was in Walmart yesterday and they actually had a section of cute modest clothes. It looks like it is a special brand for the Utah stores, I don't remember what it's called, something Bird. But, they were cute skirts for only $19!
I always find cute dresses at Target.
