The next home improvement.

I have wanted screen doors for a couple of years now.  Especially now that I have kids, it would be great to leave the back door open and be able to see and hear what is going on.  Or at night to be able to open the front and back door and let that nice cool canyon breeze in.  Sometimes I do after they are in bed, but I can't when they are awake for fear they will escape.  But, we have never done it because they are pretty expensive, and frankly some aspects of a screen door seem annoying, like having to open two doors.  We've pretty much let go of the idea.  Then, Saturday when we were in Spanish Fork at my cousins house, they had the most amazing screen doors.  In fact we walked into their house and had no idea there was even a screen door there.  It is a retractable screen door that appears to slide into the wall.  So there are never two doors to open.  I was really excited about them, and when I asked them about it I found out they got them from their neighbor who sells them.  They paid $900 for the front door and back french doors.  My excitement dwindled pretty quickly because I would never pay that much.  Of course, Jared got home and found a company in China that makes identical screen doors for $30/piece, we just have to assemble it ourselves.  Just maybe my old lady dreams of screen doors will become a reality.
