School is starting!
Is summer really coming to an end? On Tuesday Porter will begin his 2nd year of Preschool. He missed the Kindergarten deadline by a couple months, so he will be our 5 year old preschooler this year! :) He couldn't be more excited to go back to preschool again and learn with all his little friends. Tyson wants to be apart of all the preschool preparations, and will probably be disappointed when he discovers he won't be joining big brother. Tyson is such a smart little boy, there is seriously no limit to his vocabulary. He is constantly cracking us up with his grown up little phrases. Porter is supposed to bring an updated picture of himself to preschool on Tuesday and I realized, yeah I don't have one. I have been a major slacker. So this morning I took the kids out and we snapped a couple pictures of them. I have been feeling so much better the past few weeks with my pregnancy. The sick days are gone, and I'm not quite as exhausted as I was. I've spent a lot of time catching up on everything I've neglected over the past couple months. Right now I am about 22 weeks along, getting nice and round. We had our prenatal ultrasound at 18 weeks to look for and deformities or problems with the baby due to the methotrexate (chemotherapy injections) that I had just before getting pregnant. It is literally one of the most harmful things you can expose to an unborn child, so we were nervous. To our delight, every little inch of her was just perfect. We will continue to pray that she will grow and develop just like she should, but the doctors were confident that she would be just fine, as we are well past the critical phase. Tyson has officially moved into Porter's room with him, and they both have adorable matching big boy beds. Every once in a while, we will find Tyson cuddled up in Porter's bed with him. The nursery is transforming, and there are bits of pink all around. It is fun preparing for this little girl to join our family and I for one can't wait to meet her. She is already an active little baby, squirming around inside me all the time. I love feeling her move. Porter began soccer a couple weeks ago and looks pretty handsome dressed head to toe in his soccer gear. He insists he can run faster and kick harder with his soccer clothes on. :) On to the pictures, here's a couple of shots I liked from today.
