Carving Pumpkins

It's hard to believe that after almost 10 years of marriage and 5 years of being parents, this is our first year ever carving pumpkins.  We almost always get the pumpkins but always seem to run out of time before we can carve them.  Of course, now I have realized I jumped the gun a little early and these babies will most likely rot before Halloween gets here, but hey we are making progress right?  Porter chose a batman pumpkin, and Tyson chose a BYU pumpkin.  Porter was super excited about the project and a little less enthusiastic once he started cleaning out his pumpkin.  He kept calling the pumpkin guts "honey" and wanted to know if "honey" was poisonous.  I also messed up on part of his pumpkin and had to use a sewing needle to secure a piece back to his pumpkin.  He was very confused at this and asked why we needed "beetles"?  I love hearing what is in their little minds.

WHAT????? Seriously, I can't believe you haven't carved pumpkins in all the time you've been married. It's one of my favorite Halloween activities and I try to drag Kendal into helping me every year....a lot of times unsuccessfully:( Savy carved one for the first time this year too! Our kids are getting so BIG!
