Fall Leaves

Porter watched in anticipation as the colors of the leaves changed, and asked daily when they were going to fall.  He remembered clearly last year playing football in the fall leaves and wanted to rake leaves and jump into them again.  It makes me reminiscent on my own childhood days.  I remember how fun it spending an hour raking the leaves into a huge pile and then diving in.  Seeing their joy and hearing their laughter was so rewarding.  I had forgotten the smell of crisp fall leaves and the aroma it gives.  And I had to remind myself that this was all for fun, even though as an adult it is a little frustrating to see an hours worth of work spoiled in just 30 seconds!  :)  All for the sake of fun and memories!

You can see, the fun continued well into the evening.
