This week Tyson learned to ride a big boy bike. He's had it for a couple months now but it took a little time to master the pedaling. Now he is just like the big kids in the neighborhood, zooming up and down the street on his bike. I have to give all credit to his big brother, Porter, who really wanted him to learn and spent the most time teaching him to "pedal frontwards- not backwards". Ever since he's learned, he has talked about going on a family bike ride and not sitting in the trailer anymore but going "super fast" on his bike. Of course he's much too little to do that so we compromised and let him ride his bike to cascade park. Summer nights at the park is one of my all-time favorite family activities. The kids run free, Jared and I can talk, and Aubrey loves being outside. There's something special about stepping away from the thrills of the world and get back to basics, spending a simple night at the park with your family. How often we try and do something special for the kids when in reality they are just as content playing at the park with mom and dad.
