Today Porter was grounded for making poor choices and throwing fits. He wasn't too happy about these arrangements. "Mommmm! You're being a bully!" he cried. Holding back a chuckle, I calmly asked "What is a bully?" With an angry scowl he answers, "It's someone who is MEAN to KIDS! You're a bully." I told him, "I'm not a bully Porter, I am just a mom. And moms have rules to teach their kids to be good. And when you break the rules you have consequences. That's all." There was a moment of silence as he processed this information. And then he said, "Well... That's just rude." I don't tolerate such back talk but today it just made me laugh.
